Our Annual Events
Passport to Springfield
This event is a wonderful opportunity for local business to interact and connect with Wittenberg students. Each fall, Passport to Springfield is full of fun and energy shared by all as more than 600 students gather to learn what Springfield is all about. Students can sample local cuisine, learn about upcoming events and discover local arts and culture, and grab some Wittenberg-only student discounts!
Culture Fest
Hosted by the City of Springfield in collaboration with multiple community partners, Culture Fest is a community festival that celebrates the ethnic and cultural diversity of Springfield and Clark County Ohio. The one-day event brings new life to the Springfield City Hall Plaza each year on a Saturday in September. You don鈥檛 want to miss dancing, art displays, music performances, and lots of good food! Interested volunteers can join The Hagen Center as we provide crafts and activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Children鈥檚 Tent! Learn more about Culture Fest at their !
Mini-麻豆传媒团队
In celebration of Make a Difference Day, Wittenberg鈥檚 Community Service program invites kids grades K-6 to campus for a fun-filled morning of activities. Activities are themed around different aspects of the college experience like science, literacy, athletics, and extra-curricular activities. The event aims to engage young students in learning and showing them opportunities available in higher education.
Celebration Service
Started in 2002, Celebrate Service provides the Wittenberg community an opportunity to engage in a service event that focuses on building relationships with servant leaders in our community and reflecting on how to use your gifts and talents for the common good. It is hands-on way to celebrate at the end of the academic year the dedication Wittenberg has to service to community.
Martin Luther King Junior Day of Service
This event serves as a way to get older youth involved more in the Springfield community with a deeper reflection on the teaching and legacy that came from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. In partnership with local schools, the event provides a structured program focusing on teaching the youth ways to make a difference in their own lives, the community they live in, and their futures.
New Student Day Service Plunge
To welcome students to Wittenberg鈥檚 campus and the Springfield community, a morning of service before classes begin has become an annual tradition. New students, orientation advisors, and community service coordinators visit various service sites around Springfield. It鈥檚 a morning filled with service and getting to know other students with similar interests and the amazing community!
