For Zoe Curry 鈥16 and Will Stocker 鈥16, 麻豆传媒团队 holds a special place in their hearts. It鈥檚 the place where they met, the place where they cultivated lifelong friendships, and the place where they established the foundation for their careers.
When they were students at Wittenberg, they were involved in athletics and Greek life. Zoe played for the team and was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, serving as president. Will played on the and teams.
鈥淭here鈥檚 no question that the time we spent on the field is a highlight for both of our Wittenberg experiences,鈥 Zoe said. 鈥淥ur teammates and coaches in the women鈥檚 soccer, men鈥檚 lacrosse, and football programs greatly enriched our lives, and they are now lifelong mentors and friends. Delta Gamma also holds a special place in my heart.鈥
The couple is grateful for the educational experience they received at Wittenberg. 鈥淥ur professors鈥 emphasis on writing and critical thinking has served us both well,鈥 Will said. 鈥淏eyond that, participation in collegiate athletics helped both of us learn valuable, transferrable skills such as leadership, work ethic, and accountability. And, in balancing demanding course loads along with our sports schedules, we developed self-discipline and the ability to manage our time.鈥
Today, the #WittWed couple lives in Cincinnati, where Zoe is an attorney who clerks for a federal judge in the Southern District of Ohio. Will is a Client Planning Specialist for a private wealth management firm, and he is preparing for the CFP庐 exam to become a Certified Financial Planner鈩.
Passionate about Wittenberg, they proudly served as leaders of the Wittenberg Cincinnati Alumni Chapter for several years.
鈥淚n addition to Wittenberg, we鈥檙e committed to volunteering our time and supporting organizations that are meaningful to us, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the Legal Aid Society of Cincinnati,鈥 Zoe said.
When they learned that one of their employers made it possible for them to double their impact through a matching gift, they viewed it as a great opportunity to support their beloved alma mater.
鈥淲ittenberg is so special to us. Matching gifts are an easy way to double your impact,鈥 Will said. 鈥淢any companies and organizations offer matching to encourage charitable giving. So, if your company or organization offers that incentive, why not take the extra step to donate through a matching gift?鈥
The University is grateful to donors like Zoe and Will for making an impact on current and future Tigers. To determine whether a company or organization has a matching gift program, check with the employer or visit the University website: wittenberg.edu/giving/matching-gifts
