The professionals working in the Wittenberg Health Center are dedicated to keeping members of the community well everyone can enjoy campus life to the fullest and accomplish their educational objectives. The Wittenberg Health Center is staffed by Laura Willis, DNP, APRN, CNP, and overseen by Mercy Health Partners. Services are provided on a strictly confidential basis; no information is given to anyone without signing a release of information.

Office Hours

  • Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (closed for lunch 12-1 p.m.)
    • Walk-in patients after 4 p.m. may be scheduled the next business day based on schedule availability. If you know you need a late day appointment, please CALL the clinic to schedule.

General Information

  • While the Health Center has moved across the street from campus, all services remain consistent with previous years. All Wittenberg Students get 1 Wellness Visit per school year, which includes: basic health and wellness screening exam, basic vision screen, health risk appraisal, blood pressure reading, body mass index calculation, basic lab testing (cholesterol, blood sugar), review and education of results, annual flu shot (given at time of visit or during flu clinic).
  • Up to 5 additional visits per student throughout the year when needed, to include in office testing for strep, flu, pregnancy, etc.
  • All other services not listed here i.e. prescriptions, outside lab tests, cultures, pap smears, radiology testing and specialty referrals will be the student's responsibility to pay.
  • Any visit after 6 will be billed to the student's insurance or Mercy Health will assist with a fee for service schedule. 40% prompt pay discount available if paid in full at time of service.

If the student is covered by a private insurance plan that dictates the use of a specific laboratory or pharmacy, be sure that the student is aware of this fact.

Students have access to the high quality health care services at Wittenberg. Laura Willis, as well as members Wittenberg's faculty and staff, is familiar with college-level student care. She provides day-to-day oversight on campus for diagnosis, treatment and prescription services, common illnesses, and injuries.

We take walk-ins and scheduled appointments. There will be paperwork to complete if you have never been seen by Mercy Health. Please be sure to bring your photo ID, insurance card (date of birth of person who insurance is through), and Wittenberg student ID.
